Electrical Systems Designer

We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, results-driven electrical systems designer with experience in designing electrical solutions to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and specifying electrical components, designing, developing, and documenting electrical systems using CAD software, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality to turn innovative ideas into finished products.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Research, identify, source, evaluate alternatives for obsolescence of electrical components required for the operation and ensuring compatibility with system requirements. Examples of various electrical components: breakers, fuses, power supplies, programmable logic controllers, relays, contactors, terminal blocks, push buttons, lights/indicators, selector switches, network switch, measuring meters, etc.
  • Create detailed 2D drawings, system schematics, bills of materials, technical specifications, wiring diagrams and other engineering documents to guide assembly and installation and maintenance teams.
  • Participate in the design and development of electrical systems, products, or tools for according to industrial and commercial project requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and compliance.
  • Ensure designs comply with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and test plans.
Requirements and Skills

  • Bachelor in Electrical Engineering (minimum)

  • Minimum 3 years experience in electrical design or in a similar role

  • Working knowledge of CAD software (for example, SolidWorks Electrical, or others.)

  • Knowledge and compliance with electrical codes and standards

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and constraints (beneficial)
